We are creating lots of chances and have been all season, the difference is that we are now taking more of them (although still missing way too many), a top striker will hopefully give us that little bit extra we need in attack. The encouraging point is that our midfielders and attacking players are making chances and that part of the re-build is starting to flourish and with Lavia hopefully being fit for next season as well I really don't think too much more is needed in those areas (apart from a striker) .
Our full backs are good, right side especially, and MC is looking a very good signing now and starting to show the quality that had not just us seeking his signature. Again, barring departures I don't think much more is needed in those areas either. That brings me onto where I believe the real focus is needed. The centre backs. Thiago is likely off and he has been our rock, the others are either not good enough or not ready at this moment either due to injury (Forfana) or inexperience. Bringing in 2 top class, world class even, proven centre backs will make a huge difference and give us that solidity which is costing us so much this season, add a new keeper as well to compete with Petrovic and I think the re-build is complete. Exciting times ahead.

Unfortunately I don’t see us going for more experienced CB’s. Linked with Diomande whos 20 and Yoro who’s 18.

If we can resurrect a charge to a European spot by the end of the season I will agree with you but it doesn't look likely. Colwill in CB is fine and fofana as an option is also fine. I agree that we need a top quality CB, I'm confident with our FB options when chilly returns to full fitness as he's one of the top wing backs in the league when fit.
I think we need an experienced CB, but I'm not sure who's available.

fuser, a mate tells me we have already discussed with SL about the young CH and I think that deal is likely from what he said.

What we need is a CB pairing that have a run of games together, only then will we know how good they are.
Due to injuries there is too much chopping and changing and therefore no consistency.

BLUEBOY, Jackson didvery little wrong again last night. I cannot for the life of me think of any reason why Poch would play Mudryk instead of Jackson.
