Please excuse this, it is just my thoughts,

I am going to find it difficult to stomach Mourinho at United. I know the club made the decision but ultimately, the situation was becoming so bad that action was needed. Jose now gets his supposed "dream job" and it all works out nicely for him. Knowing our luck, he will probably sign John Stones as well if the other Manchester club don't stock pile him in their ever growing collection of centre backs.

It kills me to say this but I fear that we are going to be playing the bridesmaid's role with the two Manchester clubs taking centre stage for however long the two managers are there for and will suffer in our attempts to attract the players we want to acquire quite simply, because it seems every player we want to sign, the two Manchester clubs appear to want as well. Due to us taking the absolute and utter joke that is FFP seriously, we can not compete with them two. With Man City it is purely because they have found a loophole which allows them to benefit from commercial revenue streams which are over valued.

It is absolutely unbelievable that Man City are seen as a club that are above us when it comes to attracting players and indeed managers (Guardiola) considering the head start we had on them in terms of investment and our geographical location. Losing out to them with John Stones, a player who we made numerous attempts for last summer, similar to Guardiola a few years back, sums it up. Make no mistake, he will be a top player, is English (rare) and they know it.

While I appreciate everything that Jose did for us, I idolised him, and while he was excellent for Chelsea, it is important to remind everyone that Chelsea were good for him and are continuing to be good for him until such time he is confirmed as the manager of his alleged "dream" club.

I just find it all to be bit convenient to be honest. I saw a theory put forward that Jose made the situation so unbearable that the club had no choice but to part ways and hence free him up for the job that he will now take. I thought it was pure nonsense at first but the more I think about it, the more it sounds slightly plausible and not bonkers. Going back in time, when things turned sour at Madrid, it is alleged that an exit strategy was established with his management and this was executed in order to extract himself from the situation. I just would not rule it out. It will sicken me seeing him as their manager and I can only hope that Pep and him burn each other out within three years.

Still Jose will have no need for any alleged strategies at United because he will virtually have a never ending supply of finance to fund practically any transfer he wants and Guardiola will have the same. We are going to be stuck with the players they decide to not go for, I fear.

I hope I am proved wrong on all this but I just thought I should say it and see what everyone, including ED002, thinks. It is just my thoughts and please take them as that and not my beliefs.

{Ed002's Note - I have no problem with players, managers, scouts moving between clubs.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Are the club going to suffer in relation to attracting players they want or wanted, i. e. Stones, because of Guardiola and Mourinho being in charge of the two Manchester clubs ED002?I am just fearing that we might not be able to get the players because we will be third on their order of clubs, if they have a choice of the three clubs.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about Stones at length - so don't get upset over that.}

me either i wish him nothing but best he did a lot for this club its a shame it didn't work out in the long term but that's life to be the best you have to beat best and next year whoever wins it will be achievement lot of top players and top coaches.

Please tell me if I am wrong ED002 but is it purely because Man City are a northern club and are in the champions league that he wants to join them? If so, I find it difficult to stomach, surely Stones could look and see that Chelsea were the club who tried for him for so long and may well be back in the champions league the season after next. And also with Laporte moving there being likely and with Kompany as captain would likely start, he would be one of four centre halfs at City and likely be a starting centre half with Chelsea learning from John Terry for one year at least and forming a partnership with Kurt Zouna? Is there no way that Chelsea could try again one last time for Stones Ed002?Sorry for bothering you, I am just curious to ask you if you don't mind?

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea what you are talking about. And even less idea why you are doing it on the Chelsea page.}

21 May 2016 22:16:28
Whatever ED002.I just thought I could ask how Chelsea are losing out on a player they openly coveted for so long to Manchester City? My question does or did concern Chelsea so that is why I thought I would ask you on the Chelsea page in a polite manner?

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are not losing out on a player.}

21 May 2016 22:28:25
It would be a shame because, despite poor form under a manager who could not bring the best out him, Stones is going to be an excellent player Ed002 and could form a partnership with Kurt Zouma which could last up to ten years. I really hope the club reconsider before it is too late or perhaps it is already too late. Luke Shaw should be used as an example as the reasons why we should reconsider Stones Ed002.He would be worth the cost in the long term.

{Ed002's Note - So there is a player you like that Chelsea previously made an offer for. The discussion is going nowhere.}

Looking through Everton page and reading comments, I would say stones to city is happening. If we keep Costa, hazard and courtois plus add two or three players, I would say that's a good start to the new season. Move branna in to CB and look at a new RB (florenzi) .
Leave Dave LB. nainggolan in, Oscar out.

Pep and Mou will be out of the premier league in less than 5 years.

Also, why are you selling Conte so short. I hate doing this, but Conte is comparable to SAF, in terms of qaulity.

We have a top teir manager and a top teir youth academy, + one hell of a squad, a few additions and a couple of reinforcements and we will be back among the elite.

Good times ahead.

West Upper I think you're looking back when you should be looking forward. We have a top manager in Conte and with Utd, City, Spurs and Arsenal all having top managers too its going to make for an amazing Premier League over the next couple of years.

Yes Mourinho being at Utd is hard to take but it's hardly a shock that he is there. As for Stones - he does have the potential to be a very good player but if he choses to go elsewhere and our interest has moved on then so be it. I'm sure we'll sign a top CB this summer.

As Standard says above - there are good times ahead.
