Dire. Apart from looking fitter than this time last season I have not noticed a vast improvement. Ground out wins and a draw against sub-standard opposition not good enough if we are going to challenge this season. At times I thought Conte looked bemused. Our defence are like cart horses and up front no creativity whatsoever and although he has his supporters and scored our goals, if Costa keeps this up he will be spending a lot of time suspended. Regardless of the penalty, Courtois to me is not the goalkeeper we were led to believe he was.

Mate, you are honestly the most negative bloke on this site. ha ha. cheer up a bit, 10 points from 12 and Conte has only just come in. Rome wasn't built in a Day and this is a vastly improved Chelsea from last Season.

We should have won today if it wasnt a mistake by referee for not awarding a free kick for fouling cahill.
Anyway I believe that coach was a bit late with his changes and for sure matic and oscar should sit on the bench next game.

We let in two bad goals, stitched by the ref. But I still don't see the Matic kante midfield working. Fabregas needs the chance. Conte has got this wrong.

What's our realistic aim for the season. After last year I would be quite happy to qualify for next seasons champions league, nothing else.

Tbh I'd be happy with top3. Last season was a blip, and we've improved our squad so we should really be challenging tbf. Overall though a comfortable CL qualification will do. Certainly don't want it to be down to the last game to see if we get 4th.

I agree Fuser, this year qualify for Europe. Strengthened our squad just. Kante looks useful but we need to sort out who plays alongside him as it is not working so far and spending £30m on a forward that gets 5 or 10 minutes is not good enough. I am still doubtful if our buys were Conte driven.

Personally I feel their is no link between midfield and attackers. Always a simple pass left or back or right. Hazard and costs are trying to make runs, yet no balls even attempted to play them through. Seriously cesc needs to start. Azpilicueta right back alonso left. Need zouma fit.

I think once our backline has been reshuffled and become settled again we'll see a more adventurous/ attacking team. The only current difference between our starting 11from last year is Kante, and as we saw yesterday even he can't cover for all the mistakes our back line makes.
