Hi lads two years ago I was working in Cornwall on the 500 mile trip home after the summer
Liverpool were playing seville obviously I was cheering the spaniards
My point is after that match the pundits were going mental seville equalised late on and gomez was sent off late they lost 5 nil to city the week before to
I remember them saying they won't win anything with that defence and goalkeeper
I agreed with them at the time they had 2 pieces missing in the spine of the team
Gk and cb Allison and van dyke later and look what has happened with 2 signings 2
I feel next year we will be in the same boat going forward next year we will be unbelievable but my worry is cb and gk
I like kepa but I think he needs to improve massively to match the ambition of what Chelsea are doing and we definety need a leader at the back
I think we now are 2 signings away from being a very very good team

Good post but 3 signings away for myself. I still think a GK, CB and LB are needed. Also I’d love Havertz but for me I’d try to permanently offload Barkley, Jorginho, Bakayoko and Drinkwater to raise more funds and free up wages more to comply with FFP.
I’d like to see us sign a keeper like Strakosha/ Rajkovic. For CB mixed emotions from fans on this but I think Rice could be quality there and for LB I’d like to see us try Bayern for Alaba albeit very unlikely.
