A super smart man. Loyal and passionate about Chelsea. His desire for a 3 year contract was a bit ambitious. The Chelsea rule of one year contracts only for 'aged persons'. With Dave I can understand how he might want to play some more of his career in Spain at the top level. A well rounded career.

Legend of the club, has won everything there is to win at club football. The ultimate professional and should always be welcome at the club.
That said, in terms of actual performance this season he's declined dramatically in my opinion. Will be sad to see him go, but more for sentimental reasons than actual footballing reasons. Bring back Dujon (or ideally Livramento) and have him back up Reece. We'd be just fine. If there's a chance to bring back Livramento, that should definitely be done as he's legit insanely good.
