Genuine question., how many teams in Europe wouldn’t n golo kante get into? Man City maybe maybe not . But others Madrid Barcelona Bayern PSG juve, easily, but behind kov and jorginho at chelsea Hahahah.

Wouldn't be my team - very worried about our lack of pace (Jorginho / Alonso) against a very good side. Can't believe our one truly world class player can't make the starting 11.
We'll see - hope it works - but I am now not as confident as I was.

Yes; at the moment Kante is not in our strongest team and deserves not to be in our strongest team (if TT has decided to go with 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2). Jorginho and Kovacic is by far our best central midfield pairing at the moment. Is Kante better than both Jorginho and Kovacic individually? The answer is yes but he (Kante) has got to strike a good partnership with either Jorginho or Kovacic (preferably Kovacic) . Team beats individual display most of the time.

Matt; individually Ngolo Kante is the best (and his stats are there to prove it) we argued on similar issues after the Newcastle game, As long as he can’t strike a better partnership with either Jorginho or Kovacic, he (Kante) will and should keep sitting these games out, cos it’s clear what the CM duo of Jorginho and Kovacic brings to the team. I think anyone that can’t see that Jorginho and Kovacic is our best CM pair since TT took over is clearly biased.

kante and j5 should be the two- kovacic is a hybrid of the two yet not as good defensively as kante and not as good on the ball as jorginho. very much a 3rd cm in a 3 IMO.

Exactly the point obinna too many with established narratives and too few with the ability to assess performances on merit.

well i hope kova-j5 do well tonight but when singing their praises remember to look at who we have played under TT before jumping the gun on them being a better pairing than 1 involving kante.
its just my opinion but i personally think when you have so few top class players as we do rn you have to play the ones you do have available to you and kante is one of those.

i fully agree ed47 and that misuse has conned sections of our support into thinking kante is not by far the best cm at the club by a long distance.

He has had injury issues and is coming back to his very best slowly. Top, top player still.
