Not sure if you were aware but we were sanctioned at the time his contract was up for renewal and unable to do anything. I hope this helps. It also added to the club needing to spend millions on centre backs as AC was also out of contract as well. These vital points are often missed when lazy journo's and trolls reference the clubs spending.

Don't know if you remembered g8 but we had quite a long time before this to renew his contract and give him a contract that he thought he was worth (and ultimately got, more, at madrid) and we didn't act.
Again, you're more likely ti get paid elsewhere than at your own club but I think it was a mistake not paying him what we all knew he was worth.

Not disagreeing with you, rudiger was my girlfrsinds favourite player and once he left she's barely watched the team play with me lol.
I try too, I start work midday and finish late across two jobs so I sleep and wake up late. I'm sure that'll change when I'm back in the UK in 8 months or so :)
