Can I suggest that Chelsea fans should have a quick look at the two goals Hutchinson scored for Ipswich yesterday.

He looks a very useful player and his loan under a good manager and successful team has worked out well for the lad and CFC.

Chalobah and Gallagher have truly proven they deserve to be in the team. Most of the other players we have haven't. I said it a few months ago and I'll say it again. If both of them are sold in the summer it is an utter disgrace.

I’m no longer attached to academy players. I don’t want Chalaboa or Gallagher sold. A lot will depend on who or if we sign as replacements.

I don’t know where we could sell these two and get better squad players, can play multiple positions and are academy, I’m not saying starters but squad wise, could fill in come on and cover,

Poch is going to give these owners a serious snap back to reality and some serious home truths, while going to the job centre, the club is back into that chasm of self destruct, heads dropped, wishing season would end, while manger seems to have given up, the players are lower than a snakes belly, it's us fans who deal with the pain,

Matt, I must be watched different game to you.

We bossed the game and generally played well with Poch making a pro-active tactical change. I didn’t see any player hide or drop there heads.

Disappointing season, injuries partly to blame. Potchettino deserves credit for second half performance. Caicedo MoM, Badishille very good today, best game so far in blue shirt! all we need is a proper number 9 Gyokeres, Maignan in goal and an experienced CB an we will challenge next season! Would play Jackson left, Palmer right and Nkunku 10 with Gyokeres number 9! Onwards and upwards COYB.

We bossed the game Tom but as a squad / team, individual mistakes, switching off, young squad no striker, conceded early again, conceding right before half time, game management from players,

I’d say poch if he gets sack will tell them straight it was a disaster of squad build and where they’ve gone wrong. He has in some ways with the interview yesterday,

Petrovic had his chance, done ok,

Ok isn't good enough,

Mudryk, struggling for words,

Jackson missed a sitter of header,

Punished other end,

The lack of fight is unreal,

Petrovic unsighted for there second goal and other than that he was solid.

Jackson did miss an easy header.

Mudryk was poor again.

Our desire to get a result was there for all to see who want to see.

Think we played fairly well tbf. The goals we conceded were bad but we controlled play and bossed the 2nd half for once. Mudryk was poor but I also felt a bit bad for him as he hardly ever got the ball. Caicedo had his best game, Badiashile looked better than the last few weeks. Was great to see Gallagher get a goal. Jackson unlucky with the offside and the header imo. Madueke was a bit frustrating, clearly has skill but often saw him just standing still waiting for the ball to come to him rather than making runs, trying to create triangles etc.

I still really struggle to understand why we wait for the opposition to get back into shape after winning the ball back. Countless times Caicedo or someone won a tackle, and the ball would be recycled around the centre backs whilst Villa got all their players back behind the ball. Control is all well and good given how poor we are at the back but we needed to be trying to counter attack more.

Thank f. I had Villa at Evens. At least Mrs G8 will be happy!

I was happy with our performance but obviously not with the result.

I don't think VAR should have referred that decision back to the ref because for me it wasn't a clear and obvious error.

They are 4th and and we have totally outplayed them. Also the Poch tactical switch moving Cucarella into midfield was a good call.

Caicedo was absolutely outstanding and it can be no coincidence that his beat games have been when he is playing next to Gallagher.

Noni was again a handful and a big shout out for BB because he quit rightly got pelters for his recent performances but today he was generally solid.

This was the best Caicedo game at Chelsea. Finally. Chalobah means the world to Chelsea and Dud Boehly and Clownlake capital want to sell him as well as Gallagher. Thank god Casadei got 3 minutes to play I would give him much more. Mudryk played only because there was no one else to play. Maduke has amazing potential anf that's what he has shown tonight. Silva is not fully fit probably that was the reason why he didn't start against Arsenal.
All in all very positive display by Chelsea Football Club.

TheBlue, obviously not happy with the result but we biased at team that has just stuffed the gooners while we are just coming off a spanking.

I hope big Trevor and Conor both stay.

Tom agree with all of what you said.

The VAR at the end could of gone either way but like you said was it obvious enough to overall not for me. Reminded me a bit of the Newcastle vs Arsenal game but in that situation they stuck with the ref.

I personally would abolish Var it kills the enjoyment of celebrating the goal as you never know if it is going to be reviewed or not.

Was great to see the players show some spirit and come back. If we can get certain players fit we could be a force to reconned with next year.

Sorry for negativity boys but even if we go on to win this, this idiot needs the sack.
He's had longer than Potter and we are no further on.

Hated tuchels type of football.

The only manager I can see tho is the sporting Lisbon guy.

27 Apr 2024 22:40:39
Jsfinchy. The Poch tactical switch moving Cucarella was excellent and changed the dynamic of the game.

I didn’t want us to sack Potter but we are a much improved side this season but some would say that wouldn’t be hard.

Agree1 1Disagree

27 Apr 2024 23:21:23
Tom, why do you keep going on about Potter? In the past if posters mention players who have left or who we didn’t sign you take them to task. Potter was useless, the club were right to sack him. I don’t see any significant improvement; we are a group of individuals and a team of moments ; no identity or style.

I'm watching women never a pen the defender hasn't even made a move she even asked for VAR the people that run want stringing the whole VAR thing has been a joke from the start it's a total joke doesn't solve anything has been proven it not bullet proof so why not get rid of its like the Chelsea back line unreliable slow and inconsistent but most of all like anything else people should be Punished just like the players when they do something wrong let's see who's making the wrong decisions let's get them in front of the to to say sorry but they won't because the whole lot are cowards and have not balls to come out and so protected why do we go through life protecting the weak.

Anyone read the poch interview, seems to be pointing at the sporting directors, few subtle digs about the
" managers responsibilities but the club is planning and structuring a plan that needs to prove it works, because of the results you can say it's just the manager, but I don't have the keys to the club, I don't make all the decisions here "

When asked who needs to prove themselves to be here next season " it seems only to be me but it's the whole organisation, I think it's important "

Also he admitted he hasn't spoke to the owners in a over two months,

I'd say the writing is well and truly on the wall,

Problem we have is, poch is PART of the problem, but the problems are bigger and higher up than him and he is spot on with what he is saying, majority of issues will land in the next managers lap, if the next manager isn't as tactile and arm around player approach, we really need a manager coming out hanging players out to dry, players on long contracts and only young? What if next guy in doesn't think palmer offers enough off the ball so goes with another player, what if he keeps oublicslly talking about inexperience after the owners tell him not to?

27 Apr 2024 21:07:16
I didn’t like the interview he gave but he made a good point that it shouldn’t just be a managerial review.

Agree0 0Disagree

27 Apr 2024 22:18:46
Matt, you are right Poch isn’t the only problem at the club ; it’s difficult to know where to start. Leaving aside Poch’s performance as a coach, he seems to be talking himself out of a job.

Agree0 0Disagree

27 Apr 2024 22:39:41
Tom, not sure what you mean by “ not just a managerial review “. There probably should be a review of the medical setup but do you seriously think there will be a review of Sporting Directors or that the owners will review themselves? Obviously, the starting point is the coach.

27 Apr 2024 22:41:51
I’m more convinced now than ever that Poch will be our manager at the start of next season.

27 Apr 2024 23:30:07
Tom, you were convinced that Potter would last until this season and that Rice would join us in the summer and until recently that Osimhen would sign for us. I hope you keep up your track record.

Agree0 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 06:07:15
Jimbo, I’m a poster with an opinion. Some will be right and some will be wrong.

I also said that my dream of us signing Osimhen looks over. I also saind this wouldn’t be a good season and I expected us to finish between 6-8th. I can categorically say the player from Arsenal wanted to join us at some stage last season and I posted that view. He was definitely my second choice as a DM signing and at one stage I was convinced he would dig for us.

As far as Potter being sacked mid season was concerned I think I was right and he should have seen out the season as our manager. I said “things can get worse” and they did in my opinion get worse.

28 Apr 2024 06:12:17
Jimbo at every major company I have worked for a review of all areas took place of ALL the various departments. In some case’s reviews took place every 3 or 6 months.

So yes. I do expect a review of EVERY area of the club.

I was thinking about the mudryk has performed for us. Is he really that much of a headless chicken? He seems brilliant through the middle as he has plenty of space to move into. On the wing he runs out of space so quickly. Also his pressing on other players he seems to just walk and never attempt to close down. If he used his pace other teams would feel pressured and lose the possession more often. Is it management or is it mudryk.

27 Apr 2024 21:09:58
BLUEBOY, so “far” his entire Chelsea career has made him look headless.

I’m putting it down to personal issues and a total lack of confidence. I’m also hoping he will show us more next season.
