We will win the league this year, I'm more than happy to risk egg on my face and say that.

I also think that due to our smart transfer dealings around FFP we will make some big signings this summer, Koke & Varane looking the most likely.

However we will see some of the players that, love them or loath them, have been key to our success, such as Oscar and Mikel, leave. These players will be replaced by youth players like RLC.

My point, that I'm slow in getting to, is that after winning the league this year we may have to wait a while for the next. RLC, Baker, Bamford and Solanke etc. will all be looking to the first team soon enough and will all deserve a shot at it and will be integrated with players who, although talented, will be new to the league.

Eventually a great deal of our youth will be world beaters but another period of dreaded transition could be just round the corner.

Chelsea don't wait for success! It is part of our culture. Mikel will stay as well.

of all our youths I think itll be a miracle if we seee even one ever make it at chelsea all will likely be sold for 2 mill now and bought back for 40 in a few years when we realise that hey are good enough

Why will we have to wait a while for the next? Premier league is priority then champions league but that's really hard to win! Our best team with a couple of hopeful new world class signings I.e maybe Varane and koke/Bale would make us be a great team on both of them fronts.

The trophies we would have to just maybe wait a couple of years to integrate youth is the FA cup and COC. Playing youngsters like Ake, Loftus-Cheek, Izzy Brown and Solanke in them next to decent squad players like Luis, Mikel and Remy will make them better (and yes I would keep Mikel for smaller cup matches) along with others who maybe won't be always playing like Zouma, Oscar and Cuadrado/Willian.

The young players have got 8-9 years until they even hit their primes & Chelsea continuously buy the best rated talent available so I wouldn't worry about the next transition if we continue to be a successful club, our youth system is one of the best in Europe, the first team under mourinho will continue to be successful with the players we buy & sell as it's proving at the moment being top of the league with game in hand & already won a cup this year, the team is getting better & we attract the best players in the world just like Madrid, barca, bayern etc future is bright for sure

Agree with you '88. What we must remember is that, as fans, and overall we're a fickle bunch, it is all about the here and now. Our club and Jose is in the unenviable situation of having to "win" to placate the fans and balance the books and provide future income eg: C/L and TV rights. The conundrum for the club is providing wins(for the fans) and future income streams hence the style we play atm. I actually think we are still in a transition mode and will only get better as the next few years go by. I think that maybe some (if not all) our loan players in the future may be sold with a buy back as because of our success and standing internationally it is not practical to blood these youngsters ourselves with the fear of "bad results".
I do truly hope that we wrap up the EPL soon and see Jose release the shackles and play some of the youngsters eg RLC, Solanke without the pressure of having to get the points and also let the likes of Hazard, cuadrado etc just "go for it".
The quality we have, and yes will buy, will eventually be a world class excitement machine when it all comes together.
Be patient friends, be patient!
