If you could have any one player back in the side that we've had in the team before, who would it be?
For me, it's got to be Essien or Lampard in their prime!

Given the current situation, Lampard as he offers goals in and outside the box and with his head, a midfield role if required and could put a defensive stint in.

Essien for me. What he did on the pitch for us was unbelievable. I can't imagine how much he'd be worth in today's market. Prime Essien would quite possibly be the best midfielder in the world right now. He could own a midfield on his own. Definitely him for me. A midfield 3 of Mikel, Essien and Fabregas does not sound that bad, does it? It would free up Fabregas to create and roam around the pitch, while Essien just rampages up and down the pitch.

Frank Lampard 100%, a leader on the pitch, tracked bag, created chances and scored goals for fun. Chelsea's best ever player and I'm confident that if we had lampard in his prime in the side now we would be nowhere near the bottom.
