I'm starting to get worried that our rivals are strengthening around us, who all happened to finish above us last season, I read that conte informed the Italian Fa that he was going to Chelsea in November, and the story broke months later, so my point is if he knew he was coming in November he would have watched every game since that time, and had scout reports on training and all the going ons, so my worrying point is why have we taken so long with transfers, when look what mourinho is doing at Utd transfer wise, pep at city has signed 2/ 3 already, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, are all getting stronger, and for one reason or another I think we're being left behind, I am seriously worried about next season!

Chelsea seem to be very cautious with there transfer dealings, as a club and a buisness that is a good thing, for fans it can be frustrating at times. The season we signed cesc and Diego we had our dealings done early and went on to win the league. that would be ideal but obviously things are not as easy as we think looking in from the outside. On one hand I like the way we do buisness. We don't get held to ransom and we don't do a city and spend millions over the odds for a player. But on the other hand I don't want to get to arsenals level were we stall and literally play for 4th every year and have little change winning the league. It's a fine line really. The one thing I will say is if we're not prepared to spend big then we need to give our youngsters more chances. I have a feeling in conte that will be the case. In any case in looking foward to this season more than I have in a while! COYB.

Yeah the Costa and fabregas signings was kind of my point get them in early, full preseason and we won the league, looks like last year and this we going away from that winning formular and our rivals are doing it.

The Euros are still on, Conte isn't even through the door, Batshuayi is in and Eds have suggested we are close to Koulibaly. Calm down.

I am really very surprise that some of the fans could still be very nervous over the state of our transfer policies.
Firstly, Leicester winning the league last year should at least convinced us that the very best players do fail their clubs at times or where were the Arsenal, Mancity or Manu superstars when they won the league.
Secondly, getting player is not just like ordinary commodity in the market place that you get if you can afford it. The potential signing, his club and our club all have to make it work. I won't be surprise if some players would decide not to come this season because we are not in Champ Lge. There is also the need to balance the book. Let hope we get some decent players that would at least get us within top 4 next season.
