Hard to get excited by the Conference League. prize money c 2 million pounds pkus entry to Uefa league. surely a distraction from main target that has to be top 4 and will mean endless Sunday games.
But yes if we can be coasting towards top 4 then a trip to Wroclaw might be fun I suppose.

This is just from memory bug I think West Ham got €12.5m for wining the trophy and €3.5m as a starter for qualifying for the Europa the next season.

Tom, its not about the money, it's just a tin pot competition that's not worth the time and effort.
It's only good to blood our 17 and 18 year old and our first team squad should be no where near this competition.

Yes you're right Tom 2 million for winning plus an extra 10 million from TV rights money thst could go towards Poch payoff of contract. but point is that Top 4 EPL must surely be priority.

There is a also the possibility of interesting away trips to tjhe likes of the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Andorra, North Macedonia or Azerbaija. More exotic than to Peterbrough, Barrow or Crawley though given the state of Brit ralways it could take even longer to get there.

Bill, we can’t do anything about it now so we just have to make the best of a bad job.

I would say that after my predictions of finishing in the top 8 this year was tested at times but only helped by other teams being extremely poor the back end of the season.
So this year it has to be a minium of 5th place and hopefully another final. Being better placed to win after our failings this season.
I get that some don't see the ECL attractive. But it gives us a good chance of winning and building a winning mentality again.
And as some have said gives you straight qualification to minium Europa league the season after.
And if you say you don't care about the money. If it's true you get about 20mil then please don't moan about the club spending a billion pound. Because as quoted "It's not about the money"

I think it’s a decent comp for these youngsters to play in, possibly win it then we really ah e won it all. Then champs league next season happy days.
