Yesterday's friendly was an interesting watch. We created several chances but couldn't score a goal from open play when we should have had may be 5 goals. Defensively we didn't look good. I am hoping it was a glitch and one of those days more than any other concern.

My brother is a die hard Aston Villa fan and we seen last year that Tammy's ratio to finish chances isn't the best. At Villa he generally needed 3 golden chances to score one. My concern is that like yesterday will he be afforded 3 chances per game against a good side?

Kante automatically makes us a different team.

Against Utd, for me Kante alongside Jorginho and Barkley in front of the pair. Kovacic to challenge Jorginho for his position and Mount to challenge Barkley.

RLC, CHO and Reece will be massive returns from injury.

Said this all along. Tammy isn’t clinical. And in premier league you don’t get a lot of chances, he works hard and presses but I don’t really think his all round play is that good, if we had bought him people would be raising there issues but because his youth product nobody wants to mention it, over hyped but the youth fanatics, same as Bamford was Boga mushonda kakuta etc, I think the defensive issues gets better in time, set plays isn’t ideal but I’m sure we will work on and other issues is comes from being bit messy in the press and when caught players not in position. This will get better,

Guys, I’m not sure that Tammy is going to be the 25-30 goal a season man we desire but he is young and in my opinion he will get better.

He did miss a few good chances yesterday or you could argue the goalkeeper made some unbelievable saves.

COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

I think we will have to go like Liverpool in the sense that mane and salah are usually further ahead than firminho and firminho sacrifices himself with the hard work ( although is a good goalscorer too ) like last week with Pulisic our wide men will have to be the ones to go beyond and Barkley / mount close to the striker to play off, Tammy at least is a very willing worker and will get himself about.

The scousers won the Champions League and finished above us in the league last season, so they, understandably, are fancied by some to finish above us again this season. They are wrong, we will be crowned Champions with Liverpool in third.

We are seeing Lamps show in the pre-season flexibility in shape, tactics and team selection. I would prefer it to be slightly more settled but as always, I trust our manager!

COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

Sterling must score one goal in about every ten clear cut chances.

Abraham is a goal scoring machine in comparison.

True Matt Martin, Tammy can press a lot and from what I have seen of him in all the preseason games that he's played: it's clear that he's a hard-worker. I like your comment where you said that we can/ should use him as Liverpool uses Firmino. I feel he'll get better though- in terms of taking his chances. I like young strikers a lot but I guess we know that their biggest hurdle most times is their goal to chance conversion rate.

Hahaha TomB; truly you are like a typical Nigerian who feels and boasts that his mother's soup is the sweetest soup in world even when everyone can't stand the soup; I don't see the need of comparing Tammy to Sterling; Sterling doesn't score so many but I think he's unarguably a very very good player. Generally awesome comments from every one, have a great week 👍.

Sterling’s a winger who scores goals, his not Man City’s striker who’s relied on for goals,

I don’t understand the comparison between winger and centre forward?

My point is in answer to the criticism of Tammy and his chance conversion rate.

If it’s true Tammy converts one in every three chances, he will score over twenty goals in a season!
