If our WONDERFUL club buy 5/ 6 players in this window and the cost is £300-£400mil, how many fans are going to moan that we have payed inflated prices?
We didn't spend in the last window (Kovacic aside) we have money from sales from previous seasons, money for this seasons performance and money on any sales in this window.
We are in a financially strong position. I hope and trust we will take advantage of this situation.

Completely agree and we need to invest now in our rebuilding process or risk not keeping up with rivals. Will trust Frank and the club to do this wisely.

Agreed Tom. It's been said before but it's funny how the transfer ban has worked in our favour, i doubt we'd have either Ziyech and Werner on our team nor would be favourites to land Havertz if we were able to spend last summer. Who knows what our team would look like. I do expect at least another 3 signings this window. Havertz, GK and a LB. Another CB i'm sure will also be a priority but will only happen once one of our CB's leave and i really hope it isn't Zouma.
I would be surprised if we were able to make a lot of money from player sales this window. With a lot of teams struggling financially i see a lot of players we'd look to move on leave on loan with an option to buy. Already seeing rumours of this with Bakayoko and i'd expect players like Alonso, Drinkwater, Kepa, Michy, Jorginho and such to have similar transfers. There's only a few players i think the club could sell off: Emerson, Barkley, Zouma, Christensen, Giroud and maybe Kante.

I’m taking very little notice of the transfer noise at the moment and just trusting the usual sources, obviously including the Ed.

I think that’s reasonable Gianfranco.
We all rave about this player and that player and we really partially in the dark about any assessment a club makes on that player.
I’m sure there are plenty of issues about a player other than football ability that dictates the signing of a player.
What I mean is we don’t really know if a play is a total kn@b head but the club has to take that and many other things into account not just his football ability.
