Kovacic and Jorginho pivot was class today. Fair play to them. Alonso scored a peach. Azpi did what Azpi does. CHO has been phenomenal. Both Mount and Havertz put in a shift.
As a team we look ROCK SOLID again.

Jorginho had a very good game today but I’m not sure I would play him against the spuds.

We didn't look ROCK SOLID. They never tried anything and it was just a one sided game.
Let's judge the team against a better opponent.
I don't expect TT to magically make everything good in less than 1 week.
Jorgi and Kova would certainly struggle against good midfielders. It's a fact that we have seen for the past 2.5 years.

It’s true Burnley don’t offer a lot from midfield and IMO are an awful side. We could and should have had a lot more goals. One more would have helped the cash flow.
In the two games against them this season they still have had a shot on target.
I’m not sure Jorginho will start against the spuds and I can see value in playing both Mount and Havertz as there three centre halves play so narrow. Maybe playing both might be a bit ambitious but it would be interesting.
I think Jose will light some fires under his players after tonight’s performance. They looked like a side without any soul so he will have to.

We certainly should have scored more v a very poor Burnley side and we had averaged 3.3 goals against them in our previous 3 games which is why i followed TomB in going for a 3-0 win for us. First half we were pretty ordinary except for CHO who was excellent throughout as was Mount except for a couple of his shots! Great to see these two lads brought tgrough the ranks as well as Rees J doing so well and outshining so many others on the field.
Had like some others hoped last december that we might go back to a back 3 to tighten up the defense as had served us so well in many games last season as well as under Conte. But it can of course sometimes restrict flowing attacking style in teams. And think that we should have at least brought on subs far earlier in second half v wolves.
But onwards we go and what a good time to thump the Spuds!

Putting aside there goalkeeper and two CH’s Burnley are average at best. Sorry I lost you money JBS.
If the spuds set up in defence like they did against Brighton, we will win comfortably.
I think Jose will find the display against Brighton outrageous and I do expect them to start fast but after that we should take control with our superior players.
Minimum 2-0 win.

Yes I think the Spuds will be very bhighly motivated to make it hard for us on Thursday, and may well set up more defensively and as they did in the 0-0 all game earlier this season. Yet they badly need a win too, so will surely be a bit more open. We beat them 2-0 and 2-1 last season, and your shout of 2-0 probably a good one!
