The less said about that game the better I think. Like many have said, it's been the story of our season and unlikely to change before next season.
Lets talk LBs and CBs. There is a real lack of "quality" available imo. Chillwell is a slight upgrade on what we have currently, the same with Telles and Tagliafico. All would slightly improves us, but not a huge amount and I feel we would still get the same issues we have currently.
CBs, from what ED has said in the past, our two main options are not available, and I don't think we would pay the money for Koulibaly seeing as he's 29. And I can't off the top of my head identify anyone that could come in and improve us next season.
It's clear we lack a bit of leadership on the pitch, and perhaps some game management from the players.
Going forward until the end of the season, what back 4 would you like to see consistently? Mine would be

Blue, I agree with the majority of your post but at the moment James has done nothing to warrant selection.
I think he will a top player for us but he has struggled in his recent cameos.

Agreed, he's not looked sharp since the restart. Starting him, even when out of form I feel is safer than Emerson or Alonso who I just don't trust to do the job.

Agree Tom. James seems to be struggling in his cameos. Probably throwing him into the deep end now isn't ideal and may damage his confidence.
