Would someone be able to give me a view or one of the Ed's on what type of CB Marc Guehi is? Obviously there's a lot of Twitter talk from Swansea fans and the overhyped Alex Goldberg rated him as the 2nd coming of Maldini. I know he was a starter when England won the U17 World Cup so he must be decent with high potential but just wondering if he's good enough to eventually replace Silva instead of spending big. I only seen him against Grimsby and let's be honest that was Grimsby.

Personally I don't see the point in spending big on Gimenez as good as he is as he misses just as many games as Pulisic does.

{Ed001's Note - I have seen very little of him sorry.}

I remember, when he was coming through he was described as being one of the few lads in that group to have natural leadership abilities.

Maldini? What is with the English and hyping players. Guehi can be very but to say ‘Maldini’ come on.

Where did I say maldini obinna?

Isn’t Alex Goldberg English?

Guehi also played for us vs United in the Carabao last season and was really good.

He's been one of the Championship's best CBs ever since the restart last season. Physically very strong (emphasis on very), he plays on the left side of the CBs, while being right footed. His passing is exquisite for a CB, even with his left foot it's good.
He's calm under pressure, and unlike Tomori who relies on his speed pretty heavily to get him out of danger situations, Guehi seems more adept at positioning himself well.

By no means is he a finished product, but I do feel he's one of the best CB talents in England. Definitely possible he makes the step up to the first team either next summer or the summer after.

Outstanding young player.

Very good summary Jackson.

I’ve only seen him a few times and he does look to have a touch of class.

Alex Goldberg is American Obinna.

Thanks for the summary Jackson. Personally I think it’s best to give him a year on loan in the premier league first then to see how he excels.

Very well that Alex Goldberg is American, but I still maintain that the English hypes their footballers a lot.

I think most nations “hype” there home grown players obinna.
