Revealed: Chelsea have already been warned off Tuchel once in the past as he tries to push himself on them once again. As reported yesterday, Chelsea yet to hit panic button over Lampard

Frank won't be sacked anytime soon hopefully, but we have to be smarter with our decisions regarding managers and new signings.

It's not helpful to sign a manager every 20 month and sign a bunch of players that he wants but the next manager won't even take a look at.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not reading any journos to know that if Frank fails to win our next few matches he would be gone sooner than later. No sentiments for the game which even Frank chose to leave all he had achieved with us and ended up with our direct rivals when he felt his interest was no protected at Chelsea.
Judging by our recent performances, not even results, it's difficult to be optimistic about next games.

It's not about sentiments to Frank (although it should be, you got to back the people whom means something to you), it is about doing what's right and having a sustainable team that gets you trophies and good results as well as financial flexibility.

If we sack Frank and give the job to someone like Tuchel (I pray to God this doesn't happen😅) or any other interim manager, is it guaranteed that we will finish in top 4?
Will that new manager manage to make a team full of young and new players better and help them to gel together faster and better than what we already have?

I think the answer to those questions is a big no.

Someone without PL experience (as a player and as a coach) won't make us better overnight. It is just common sense really.

The policy of firing managers every 18 months worked in 2000-2010 because we had an established squad with leaders like JT, Lamps, Drogba and Cech.

Check our results after these guys left and got up there in age, and you see that it has been so up and down, no consistency what so ever.

All of this is just common sense IMO. But no one wants to work for anything and go through bad times. Instant success is not going to happen anymore.

Ash study the history of the club before you make a judgement. Everytime we have fired a manager, we have always got a reaction.

Jose, Ancelotti, RDM, Benitez, Jose, Conte, Sarri. All of these managers won each time their predecessor got sacked. We are the most successful club since the RA era for a reason.

Also put sentiments aside, lamps left the club when he felt it was right to. Its a cut throat game. Only the club supports itself. that's it.

Why do you think that happens?

I know the recent history as well as anyone, but you are only focusing on winnings, not the bad stuff.

Also, this narrative of "Lampard left the club when it suited him" is not relevant. It just suits your narrative because you want it to.
Lamps' last season with us was 2013-2014 and we finished 3rd.
Then JM brought Cesc in, and he had big problem with Lamps being there and it was us and JM who actually preferred Cesc to him, not the other way around. So stop manipulating the truth to make it fit your narrative.

As I have said, it's not about sentiments, it's about doing what's right and sacking FL right now is not the right thing, nor was sacking JM (especially the 2nd time) .

P. S: If anyone has any questions regarding Lamps loyalty to Chelsea, just remember that he played for us and scored for us both in PL and CL right after his mother died.
If you are actually questioning his loyalty and his status as a legend, then you are not a fan for me.

Fan of Lampard or Chelsea ash.

I mean your narrative about Lampard as a player when he left is so far from the truth. We offered a contract albeit not good enough for his liking at the time.

Also no one is questioning his loyalty, all I said was its a cut throat game and ONLY Chelsea and RA will put itself 1st, an employee will never do that.

Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Cech etc all left for pastures new when they lost their positions in team. Our 30+ contracts ain't for everyone and I don't blame them for it.

I think a lot of fans are struggling to separate the legacy of the player to the manager.
