It's just ridiculous really. Some of you are bashing the teams performance even when we've won and in my opinion won quite comfortably with some fringe players given opportunities therefore not at full strength. Can I remind you all that Fulham, drew with Spurs, Brighton, Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle, and beat Leicester away? They've only been beaten twice by Everton 2-3 and Man City 2-0 since the 22nd of November. Y'all are delusional in your assessment of the team. Half of the Frank out boo boys are saying if we get 3 points against Leicester you might change your minds. Can yous not see the error and flimsiness in your judgement of both the coaches and players. My point remains other teams have suffered loss of form since the start of the season. Utd have been extremely fortunate, City started woefully, Liverpool haven't been themselves, neither have Leicester, Spurs have had a rough run also. Southampton and Everton similarly had started well then fell off. If your going to chop and change game to game and one minute you support the team and coaches then a bad run of a few games you want them all gone, you might as well not call yourself a fan. Shambles this page has become . It's not even educated opinions anymore, it's unrealistic expectations and constant negativity.

Agree6 Disagree0

Unrealistic expectations? Sorry I support Chelsea Football Club. I'm sure our board know CLEAR and WELL what the expectations are.

17 Jan 2021 12:27:53
I will support Frank until the end, but as fans of the club, we are entitled to be frustrated and this is a place to vent our frustrations. Cleary this season all clubs are having indifferent form most likely due to C.V. and no fans being in the grounds. I also stand by my post at H/ T yesterday that this Chelsea side is one of best in terms of talent for quite a few years, yet when we play I struggle to see much style or identity on the ball. Off the ball we all know Frank likes to press high and try to win the ball back, on the ball, we look too passive and safe, almost like no one wants to be the guy to give the ball away. We have become very predictable, and opposition teams are taking advantage of that. I'll say again, I will support Frank until his last day and hopefully this result has given the team some confidence to push up the table.

Criticising poor performances is called standards in my book. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Its called constructive criticism. We scraped a win against a relegation contender who had a player sent off? I'm glad you enjoyed the win but to call a 78th minute winner agains 10 MEN COMFORTABLE, really? That is laughable. Again, its your opinion.

Comparing a Fulham side that had a player sent off to a Fulham side that had 11 players on the pitch to get good results against the sides you mention is a problem. It's a rather biased positively to fit an agenda and not objective at all. How can you compare 10 vs 11? No fairness here at all.

I can't recall any boo boys on here stating that if we beat Leicester then their opinion would change? You sure that's not made up because you say half of the boo boys so it should have been a common thing to read I suppose. ?

Other teams have suffered but most are pretty much back where they belong. The only two teams that are in this rut are Chelsea and Arsenal, albeit one spent over 200m. You mention Everton, however they started fine, had a dip and the manager quickly addressed the issue. Also, you can't compare the form of Everton, Southampton and Leicester to Chelsea and that's another problem with your view. Southampton, Everton and Leicester are doing what they are doing because of their manager who is the driving force and some would say they are over achieving. We are Chelsea, we are 18 months into this project but are seeing indifferent results regularly. We can't compare ourself to some of the teams you mention. Statistically, Lampard's Chelsea is the worst in history. Again,

Why are Man Utd extremely fortunate? Enlighten me? If you say our performance vs Fulham was comfortable then why can't you say the same about Man Utd's wins? They have been recording wins after wins.

Also, as fans we have expecations and i'd rather you not decide what needs to be done to become a fan.

I usually respect your opinion, but this post was an epic fail mate. I understand positivity but you have to be objective and constructive. Nobody is being abusive or childish with their views here.

Fantastic post by CFC SHAK.

17 Jan 2021 14:37:33
Agree entirely Shak. They way things are going 6th place is optimistic. If people are happy with that so be it, but I’m not. Winning at Fulham is no big deal. What is more worrying is there is no distinct identity in the way we play and the football boring and predictable.

17 Jan 2021 14:50:17
Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words always 💯.

17 Jan 2021 14:53:52
Nothing constructive about any of your posts. You've made up your mind; Lampard has to go. Your banging on about 18months but that's not entirely true is it? Werner, Silva, Kai, Chilwell, Mendy and Hakim have all been here 6 months with no pre season, injuries and during a C.V.. Last season the team overachieved clearly. You except in that time for the team to be on par with teams like City and Liverpool that have been together longer and have clearly more experienced squads. You Jimbo, GG, and the GRA fellah are constantly on here bashing the team of how the performances are poor and Frank hasn't got a clue. A few years ago I remember you lot were saying the same about Conte and Sarri etc. You're all serial moaners that think they know better than professionals coaches and players. It's not opinions you're all giving, it's matter of fact statements as if you're all some genius coach. You're right the club do know what they're doing, that's why Lamps is going no where mate. You'll be proven wrong and I'll make sure to remind you all further down the line. Unlike you I know a bit about what it takes to be a coach and the work done behind the scenes. I also know what's said about Frank in professional circles and how dilligent he is in his work. Hence why players like Timo, Kai, Chilly came in. I also know what it takes to build a playing style, culture and have cohesion and I can tell you it takes longer than 6-18 months.

17 Jan 2021 15:22:10
As I said in an earlier post, when you take the route to make excuses then there is no end in sight. All the excuses you've mentioned apply to all the other teams too, we are not an exception to this rule.

I’ve always been an advocate of points mattering most, however, it’s impossible to keep SCRAMBLING through an entire season. We do need levels to rise, or it’ll bite us.

Of course you know what it takes to be a coach and of course it takes longer than 6-18 months to build a playing style (if your blind to any faults of Lampard) . Your view is floored by the success of Jose, Conte, Ancelotti, RDM, Sarri etc. All of these won something within the first 12 months. Also I was not Conte out nor was I Sarri out so stop making stuff up mate.

A lot of fans can't separate the player, the legend to the manager who is severely inexperienced unfortunately.

17 Jan 2021 16:12:28
Firstly, I am am not moaning I am saying what I am seeing and am concerned about the direction of the club. I have never posted any criticism of Conte or Sarri as a matter of fact. If people want to live in cloud cuckoo land it’s their right to do so.

17 Jan 2021 16:15:39
I'm with you dadubliner.

Some of the guys here have been saying the same things for the past couple of weeks w/ o any sort of context or perspective.
Someone should remind them that you can't just compare 2 coaches w/ o considering other things that are going on which some of them are bigger than football.

I would like to give an example:

We were going to play Fulham on Friday but it was rescheduled to Saturday. That's one day less for recovery. So that probably have changed a lot our game plan and the way we played.

I absolutely agree that CC is needed but having a clear and bigger view of things is also needed.

Stop it with your LAMPARD OUT agendas. It's getting boring.

17 Jan 2021 16:21:09
Lamps is having to change out a whole squad. He also had to deal with the sale of Hazard. Three awful transfer windows have had to be dealt with. Think of the team 24 months ago, Pedro, Willian, Baka, Drinks, Alonso, Kepa, Moses, Xappa, all gone. Jorginho and Kante, Azpi and Kova going, Mount, James from YA established, Chillwell excellent, Hudson now on the cusp, Ziyech looks decent but lazy to the work required off the ball, with RLC apparently turning a corner and Gilmour getting better and the chance of Rice to come in if Lamps stays Chelsea have a plan, they need a younger world class CB and a top GK. I think Havertz will be a great player but I do have reservations over Werner, the boy should have scored yesterday. Give it a chance, the thought of a foreign coach getting fruits of all that hard work and pruning seems to me unfair on Lamps.

17 Jan 2021 16:30:56
Yes exactly, hence why the top 7 is separated by 7 points and we're 4 points off 4th? Honest question, with the squad we have right now, taking into account the whole starting 11 has changed since FL took over and 5 only came in this season, where do you feel we should be in the league?

Well obviously not when you weren't happy with the 3 last night?

Would you say all the other coaches would have won something last season with the squad we had? Do you think they'd win something this season. With the average age of the squad around 25 without Silva and Giroud probably around 23-24 you reckon we can compete and should compete with Man City and Liverpool and Utd that have had a few seasons together?

I don't that's the case, I think we can just see how challenging the job has been and how well he's done taking into consideration everything from a complete transformation of the squad, giving young players opportunities and trying to integrate signings.

Name one player that's still in the starting 11 from Sarris team expect Kante with Kova and Azpi occasionally?

I maintain my point you and the boo boys are not realistic about how far along the team and coach should be at this stage.

17 Jan 2021 16:57:25
Ashk121 and Stephen60 exactly. Im usually not that opinionated on what others post but it's just getting ridiculous. The whole Mason Mount saga too. Can people honestly not see he's been our best player? 😂 You have to be a troll if you think otherwise. He's future captain material 100% if he maintains his hunger to improve all the time. I mean I was dreaming that Kai and Timo would hit the ground running like Bruno did for Utd but unfortunately they're not quite there and need some time. Stephen you're spot on with your assessment imo it's exactly my sentiment. I still think we'll click sooner rather than later and I'll be interested to see how the lads feel then.

17 Jan 2021 16:58:30
We are not being realistic? As I said earlier, once you take the route of making excuses then there is no end as you will keep doing this 💯

If your happy with our recent performances of DLLWLDLW then good on you mate. I'm happy you have ambitions set so low.

17 Jan 2021 17:14:03
How any body can sight Sarri as a good or even a successful Chelsea manager beggars belief. He was and is an absolute clown. Chelsea won a trophy in spite of him. His football was the worst ever seen at SB since the inception of the PL. He was one of the main architects in ruining the boy Kante, his continual selection of the worst Chelsea midfielder I have ever seen Jorginho was incredible. It caused N’Golo to question his contribution to the team, something that even Lamps hasn’t quite put right. Also Sarri’s final act was despicable in football terms, and underlined what I had always thought about the guy, he left arguably the best pound for value Chelsea signing Gary Cahill in his final game on the bench at 4-1 up in a cup final. and BTW Eden won the Europa cup final not that clown. Effin Sarri don’t start me!

17 Jan 2021 17:15:43
Why don't you answer my questions Shak? Where in your opinion should we be in the league? Top? Would any of the coaches you listed have won something in your opinion? I didn't say I was happy at all, I'm just not devastated and it was to be expected everything considered. You will lose games and have dips in form. What was your opinion when we went 14 unbeaten or the fact we won 11 of 19 in all comps and lost only once in 90 min to Liverpool and KOed by Spurs in Carabao Cup? Was that good enough for you? Was last season good enough for you? Or are you and the others judging FL and the team based on 4 loses and a draw in 8 games?

17 Jan 2021 17:20:20
What about the performance did you like, results was good, but performance, what pleased you? The goal and crossbar effort came from aimless crosses slapped away by keeper and weak header, other chance was last few minutes when 10 man Fulham went for draw and committed forward, kovecic performance please you? Or jorgingo? Pulisic? He good? Giroud? Azpi or rudiger? its funny when we lose it’s a reaction but when we win and critique it’s judged the same, maybe we’re not great to watch,

17 Jan 2021 17:54:50
It seems that only you see the truth and is objective Shak, we are just deluded.

About the performance:
No one, even the likes of City and Liverpool, are not having a good season. It has been up and down for everyone, because it's not like all the other seasons. Everything is so very much different.

No excuses with bad performances, we just think that we need to have more patience and trust.

@dadubliner:
Mate it's just agendas these days, it's becoming quite ridiculous to be honest. I agree with your opinions. It's good to have you here.

17 Jan 2021 18:31:40
People have different opinions which should be respected. Surely the purpose of this site is for supporters to air their views just as we we used to do at matches. Not clear what you mean by “agendas”. I don’t think that RA will be influenced by anything on this site.

17 Jan 2021 18:41:47
Dadubliner my views about the situation have been summed up by Matt in his recent post.

Recent results suggest DLLWLDLW. Even a relegation contender would not be happy with the above results mate. Im not asking for 1st but the minimum I expect is watching a team that has identity. I think anybody that thinks we haven't regressed since last year needs to explain why without excuses.?

17 Jan 2021 19:35:18
I didn't see a single player who was not playing for the team and there was energy and commitment. I am not a fand of Jorginho but he had a reasonable first half before tiring inbthe second (has happened with him before) Dave could not be faulted for effort though losing pace and presumably Rees woul have played if fully fit. Pulisic got better as game went on and he
provided the brilliant pass to set Werner free for his one on one with goalie and also the cut back that was slightly behind Werner and Dave blasted over. Giroud ok but not brilliant. Was surprised Rudiger chosen ahead of Kurt but suppose some rotation necessary ahead of Leicester game.

But Matt you haven't answered the question by poster above and would be great if you could.

17 Jan 2021 21:14:07
Really getting to me all this with Lamps. Who do you want as manager half way through this new team. That rat Mourinho? Who finished nowhere last season, will win nothing this season and who was chased out of Madrid, SB and OT. Carlo A? (Not going to happen) Or wee three quarters of a season Brendan, who couldn’t give a toss for Chelsea. Or is it Hasslehoover who has done hee haw. Or are you all buying into this wunderbar Herr Tuchel who let me tell you failed at PSG who were absolutely pish CL finalists or not. Sick of it.

17 Jan 2021 22:47:06
In response to your first post dubliner all those teams you mentioned not having a great season or starting slowly are all above us at the half way point so your point is stupid.

18 Jan 2021 00:01:28
@Stephen. I could tell its getting to you because your resorting to abusing former managers to get your point across in supporting Lampard. If you can't reason sensibly then I won't bother.

Just to put the record straight, Jose is not a rat. His the player that gave Lampard life as a player and regardless of what you say Frank respects him a lot so who cares what you think. Jose won 3 titles for us. He may not be liked by many, but to me he certainly isn't a rat and one that I will forever respect for achievements as our manager. This is not me saying I want Jose as our manager but its a mark of respect for someone who gave us so much success.
