whilst disappointed, frank will forever be my favourite chelsea player and i'll always remember his fondly.

Moving onto tuchel, and keeping my strong opinion to myself lol, how do follow posters expect him to line up with the current squad? 4-2-3-1?

Agree0 Disagree0

I too have some strong opinions on today’s situation 😔

Have no idea what Tuchel is like never paid any interest to him before, hoping we just go back to basics and play to our strengths first and foremost.

Nice to see some of the players on social media saying thanks to the legend, I know change is coming but I can’t help but feel sad for him and the fans.

It’s always a sad day when your clubs manager gets the tin tac. It generally means things are failing.

its a shame i could complain but the decisions been made and time will tell. i'll be interest in who he picks as second cb and can only pay zouma stays ahead of rudiger and christensen

and my other interest lies with what happens to mount and where he fits in with tuchel as manager.

Sometimes when a manager gets the sack it’s more relief ( sarri) for instance, then you have a positive outlook with new manager coming in.

Today feels the opposite purely because I feel terrible for Frank, the amount of support he’s getting today just goes to show how highly regarded the man is. A simple case of wrong time right person.

Why are fans on this forum talking about football formations, tactics, passion, motivation, development and other grand notions of football. It’s Chelsea, Win the PL or the CL and then go. Nothing else matters.

Spot on Stephen. We are doing that very thing that got us all those inconsistencies and troubles, but people are saying it has worked because we have won things. Yes we have won trophies but everything is different.

It feels like we are not going to change anything anytime soon.

So it'll be just a new manager every 18-24 months.

25 Jan 2021 18:16:27
And some people talk about not criticising the board and RA as if they could have done anything without the likes of Lampard, JT, Drogba and etc.

We won things because those players performed and because they were there to begin with.

25 Jan 2021 18:22:32
Because that’s what football is all about mate.

Exactly Ashk. They should have left Lamps at Derby. They knew the lad could not refuse the job. He done the year embargo and dealt without Eden. We are now hearing that the fall out with Marina started last August when Lamps identified Declan Rice for his needed HM role, but the club went for Havertz. Why? It makes no sense and BTW Chelsea still do not have a proper international physical HM. It is 18 months down the pan. lamps should have been left to work his 3 years, even if he won nothing imo he would have at least changed the culture of the club with regard to the YA. Tuchel will win nothing and not bring through one YA player. He will also be sacked. It is a joke.

I would be worried for players like Mason Mount, I feel Tuchel will use Gilmour as a Verrati type and it may hinder Masons good run of form.

25 Jan 2021 18:49:43
Situation, I’m not happy about today’s decision but let’s not jump the gun on Tuchels team selection or the future of players.

Let’s take the emotions out of the situation 😂 and support our new manager.

25 Jan 2021 19:02:59
Nice word play TomB! I don’t know enough about the guy to be predicting formations but i just have a hunch Gilmour will be used more under this manager given the way he used Verrati who is unerringly similar to Gilmour.

25 Jan 2021 19:19:00
Spot on again Stephen and Situation. This just feels wrong on so many levels.

I just hope things turn around and work out in the future.

It would be absolutely amazing to see Lamps lifting a trophy as a manager.

25 Jan 2021 19:25:29
Yes players who perform help win trophies but do you think we would have won things without the likes of coaches like Mourinho, Ancelotti etc and who appoints coaches? The board.
