There's just too much irrational, negative, and vitriol-laced comments right now. People are biting the hand that fed them. The same man made Frank and all the others legends. He gave the team the identity.
Common sense and rationality will be restored when calmer heads prevail.

It goes both ways. I've seen "fans" saying they don't support the club anymore after Lampard's sacking and I've seen "fans" saying god riddance to Lampard, putting no respect on his name.
Looking forward to the dust settling on this one.

The only identity RA haS is firing and hiring and spending lots of money. People are entitled to be frustrated by sacking Frank. Roman has absolutely zero to do with how players perform on the pitch, neither does he hand select players to join the club, that’s what he employs others to do.
Understand that people are upset with his decision and give them time space to vent their feelings without shooting them down because they do not sync with yours.

If Tuchel gets off to a good start and we start to play well it will lose the current emotions “jâ€.
The board and Roman will get slaughtered if the remainder of the season turns out to be a nightmare.

I agree with you Situation88.
RA wants success and I'm glad he is our owner but there is very little identity with the way he runs things. It's just either you win things or you are out the door.
I understand it's becoming a business more and more each year which is a great shame to be honest, but if you take all the passion, joy, loyalty and identity out of this game it will be nothing more than a reality show that happens every week for a year.

I had optimism with Frank in charge as I felt we were starting to build something great for years to come.
I think today has been a reality check to us all thinking RA would give Frank time because of who he is. You have to give Roman credit where credit is due. the guy must have huge balls!
Dust ourselves down and try climb back up the table, it’s going to be hard to judge Tuchel coming in under pressure to get results but we should be used to that.

Tom B, you’re right about the criticism that the board and RA might get if the season goes pear-shaped but as fans there is not much we can do about it unlike Barcelona and Real whose fans can kick out the President. That said, I have faith in RA and tbh I don’t think Frank would have turned things around but we will never know.

Situ88, be grateful that his policy to hire and fire has made us what we are today. Lampard knows this game very well himself, his been part of many teams under different managers.
I think common sense will prevail in a few days. There was far too much going which resulted in arguably the worst football witnessed at Chelsea.
I don't abuse lampard and never will. However, as a die hard #CFC fan I owe everything to Roman. Prior to his takeover, to imagine the success we would have achieved via him would have been a dream.

Tom B the thing I love about football is the optimism especially at the start of the season. Emotions are raw at the moment, I remember how gutted I was when Jose got sacked first time and when Ancelotti was dismissed . I think things had to change. I hope things work out but as ever : Come on you Blues!

Jose 1st and Ancelotti hurt but then I realised Roman's tactic works. RDM, Rafa, Jose 2nd, Conte, Sarri etc all won titles after a sacking.
The owner's got my trust anyway. Whenever, we hit a brick wall he pulls out money to make us great again. Ppl forget these things and instead criticise the transfers. Just look at rivals and how players they bought in CV.
