I think just how good am owner / person Roman abramovich is and how brilliant he has been with the nhs / furlough staff / hotel situations, the anti Semitism and racism and donations all goes un noticed, each thing he does is mentioned but I mean the whole lot and just how brilliant he has been, yet can't get British visa, would love him back watching st the bridge, in Roman we trust.

Having said that we don't sing much at the Bridge at all really. Two whole stands of silence a lot of the time. Didn't go last season, as I moved away from London, but the last I remember a really good atmosphere was during Conte's title winning season. I suppose that says more about modern football than just Chelsea though.

Mdw mate, yes I looked at all games this season. We were much better albeit naive in some games ( Everton, wolves etc. ) . I genuinely thought lamps found a way of preferred play with kante sitting deep, ziyech/ pulisic on wings, havertz/ mount as dual 8's and a striker up top. This indeed worked well for 8-10 games. However the wheels came off with injuries and lamps couldn't figure out another way to make us click which led to his sacking. But I was honestly excited with the double 8's and thought it would propel us to the top. With fans it would have been magical.

Madblue it doesn't matter if we were playing good or bad, fans at Stamford Bridge would have called his name from every corner and every stand.
Also I honestly think that Lampard was used by our board when no one would have taken the job at Chelsea in 2019. Worst way to treat a legend.

Most managers are used by their clubs / boards. Most are scapegoats for bigger underlying problems at football clubs, whilst managers with successful records are rarely sacked. Frank Lampard isn't the exception to any of this.

Ashk while I hoping lamps would be given time to turn around things due to the nature of the project we undertook when he came on board (i. e. integrating players from academy) but board behaviour was no different from treatment met given to other managers. Mourinho I being case in point. So I don't think board used Lampard. It's more a case of our board's usual behaviour which though has yielded results in the past still needs refinement. Hope they give tuchel time to get things in shape.

Also Ashk I don't want lamps to be seen as a player legend. He should be assessed on his managerial abilities now. For me he did well except for city, Leicester games where we were thoroughly outplayed. I especially enjoyed the come back against West Brom when we were 3 down at half time. That's the intensity which I wished to see even when chips are down.

Madblue I agree with most of the things you said but to me offering a job to someone when nobody is going to accept it (at least not anyone good) and then sacking him at the first sight of problem, seems like a very unjust and bad kind of behaviour.
I agree that the board should do a lot better. I mean they just paid Porto around 13M just to get AVB and then sack him and pay him even more money!

Maybe the crowd would have lifted the team especially with Lamps in charge but who knows.
Maybe the teams we have played away from home would lifted by their own crowd.
We will never know now.
Football managers get well paid in the Premiership and Lamps had 18 months left on his contract with Chelsea. He can take his time fine a club that will give him time to gain experience. He may one day return, who knows!
The continued remarks about Lamps the man on social media are disgusting IMO but part of the age we live in. Very sad.
