Kante, James and Chilwell are obviously missed when they're not in the team. But, we've also massively missed Kovacic's presence recently too. He started the season off in excellent form, looking forward to seeing him back.
As I said in a previous post, I think Saul hasn't worked out - certainly not as a central midfielder. However, I don't think he can be much worse than Alonso at LWB - can he? Definitely like to see him given a shot there in Chilwell's absence.

The only good sign that I have seen from Saul so far is that- he seems a midfielder that has good goal scoring ability (accuracy/ composure) from midfield: which he showed in the Cup game against Aston Villa. We are missing Chilwell badly.

Against West Ham? I feel starting him at LWB against a weaker opponent should be more prudent, but who knows I am not the coach.

I pray Saul can be successful for us at LWB cos Alonso is not cutting it for me- one bit, it doesn’t matter how good he (Alonso) is- in attack.

I think it was only Saul’s 2nd start in the PL and everyone was pretty poor imo, so I won’t judge him too harshly off the back of it.

Maybe against Brentford in the League Cup? I mean it would be a risk against West Ham, but it's not like I trust Alonso.

Fuser, it was his second start, but it was also the second time he was subbed off at half time. That's pretty damning, it's not lie he's inexperienced.

Saul was no worse than a lot of players last night and he was also on a booking. I think that may have tipped the balance in TT giving him the hook.
I think it’s a season long loan so we may as well reserve judgement.

Obinna don't forget alonso was good at the start of the season. We miss kante the most. He has a way to balancing the the team, knitting the team together I mean injuries are taking tolls on us. My fear is how kept can fare when mendy goes for afcon. I always panic anytime kepa is about to be tested.

I have a strange feeling Kepa is going to do well when Mendy is away. Maybe it's desperation.
