My sons think Saul is the worst signing for us ever.
I'm try to make a valiant defence of the lad by bringing up some other players I think were poor but to be honest I'm struggling.
Fingers crossed he will prove them wrong!

Well, he certainly made his case again tonight. Don't think he kicked the ball well once, and he both played every Everton player onside for their goal, as well as completely missing his header on the same play. Don't think your sons are wrong.

Tom it’s hard to defend Saul except to say he hasn’t had a lot of game time unlike RLC who is hardly any better!

He definitely is. Hasn't had a single spell where he's looked like a competent footballer. Would be best for everyone to send him back in January, hope he revives his career at Athleti but i don't want to see him play another minute for us.

Your sons are spot on Tom, and how many more minutes would any manager worth his salt allow him on the pitch to prove them wrong? Id have substituted him ten. mibsxafter he came on as sub tonigh! The trouble is that I think Saul himself doesn't care any more. Would love to be proved wrong but can't see it happening. Though perhaps Heswall be risked against Chesterfield.
But your sons have got me and doubtless others thinking about worse signing ever. um, er, having thought for a while reclon your sons may be right.
