Hey Ed002 any truth in the waldschmidt stories?
{Ed002's Note - Luca Waldschmidt (S) is one of two younger German players that I previously mentioned that Chelsea has been interested in since the 2019 European Under 21 Championships and has a great deal of support from two people at the club who would like to see him make the move from Freiburg. Freiberg would like to keep him as Nils Petersen is not getting any younger, but he is one of two players who are interesting other sides and may well be sold to keep the club in good financial shape as they work to complete their new stadium. Benfica also maintained an interest in Waldschmidt but after a failed approach during the 2019 tournament moved for Carlos Vinicius instead.}

Young striker, adaptable and capable of playing on the wing too. On paper he seems exactly the type of player we need, although I've never seen him kick a ball.

Looks like he could rotate with Tammy more effectively that Batshuai.

Just had a bit of a look at him, looks good - as does everyone on YouTube.
Happy to come deep to pick the ball up and then drive forward with the ball. If the defence backs off then he doesn't need an invitation to shoot from distance. Seems to have an eye for a pass and looks like he has good touch when passing out wide.
Does look like he could be the perfect addition to Abraham and Giroud, who incidentally I would love to see sign on for another year. He was excellent when coming back into the team - don't underestimate how hard it would be to replace his qualities.
