Stories this morning (from the football insider originally) stating that Werner could leave Chelsea this summer.

Love the use of the word 'could' in the story. Let's all list things that could happen this summer and then make an article out of them.

Not saying it's outside of the realms of possibilities that he leaves, just love the ability for people to make something out of nothing and release it as hot off the press news!

Pathetic stuff, you could go to lengths and say practically any player or any member of the board of directors COULD leave.

Lazy and typical of some journalists working for certain outlets.

As always, If any player wants to leave I’m sure they will be allowed to leave. I can’t imagine Werner wanting to leave.

Werner has no reason to leave, adaptation has taken long but I'm in no doubt he will do very well next year. Confidence is the only ingredient lacking right now.

Pulisic has had a year full of injuries, maybe playing a bit part role for whatever remains of this season is what he needs right now. Coming back from lengthy lay offs isn't easy. Next year will be his year and I'm positive #CFC will not dare to sell him.

10 goal involvements in the league this season, I'm not saying that's amazing but he's won pens too and influenced games positively without getting on the scoresheet or registering an assist. I think his 'poor season' is slightly over hyped by the media. Especially given everything that's gone on this season.

His had many armpit offside decisions go against him, his hit the post countless times. His won many penalties, had he taken them and converted them then would they be saying his had a good season? So many other top players have had an awful season thus far I. e. Mane, Auba etc but all you hear is Werner.

The media have definitely gone hard on him and I'm sure Werner will turn this around.

{Ed077's Note - hitting the post still means not scoring.

It took Drogba a season and a half before things started going well for him at Chelsea.

Other players haven't been scoring in bunches, that's true but Werner has missed 16 big chances! That's a lot.
In comparison, Tammy has missed 3, Che Adams has missed 12, Antonio has missed 6, Auba has missed 6, Jota 2, Jesús has missed 5 and DCL missed 11. All of these players has also scored more goals, except Jota who has 5 goal, although with a lot less playing time.

True, Werner has provided assists and won penalties but he is a forward and he should score more goals. End of.

Ashk121 all of the players you’ve listed have been playing in the league for years, not really comparing Apples with Apples IMO plus Werner has played out wide for half the season too.

Werner is missing sitters, 1 on 1 and really high quality chances. For a premium forward, that's not good at all. I understand that he is new to the league, but 16 missed big chances is a lot.
Also experience is not always the answer. Martial is a prime example of that.

Fair enough Ashk but I think he has the quality to come good unlike Abraham.

Why because he has 50M£+ price tag and he is German?

Callum Wilson has been more productive and he plays for Newcastle.
