Today showed me more than ever our system relies on pacey athletic wingbacks. We need to be bringing at least one in this window as cover.

Bingo! I made this point some days back, A 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 formation can never reach it’s highest strength without pacy wingbacks. If we are smart, we should have 2 pacy wingbacks on each side. Which is why I think the signing of Theo Hernandez and another RWB is indeed NEEDED if we want to get to the next level. It is key.

Or competent wingers, our attacking players should be a able to attack not signing defenders who can, a defender who can attack should be a bonus,

That’s why playing CHO and Hall as wing backs would help don’t have to be fantastic defensively just be technically good and get up and down the pitch.
