Chelsea fans have no idea what is happening with the sale of the club therefore without information from our board/ raine or our preferred bidder (if indeed we have one as this has not been confirmed) then the media is the only place fans can source information albeit its probably totally inaccurate.
Can you shed some light on the current situation which would stop us fans from running with what media outlets are telling us.
I thought aftee the ESL issue the fans would have more transparency but this does not seem to be the case and its not just with our club.

They tend not to grasp a lot of things and then that leads to posts that are complete nonsense and simply misinforms people. My understanding is that the process is continuing and a "preferred" bidder identified by Raine Group and the Chelsea Board and Owner have been informed of that. Additionally there is a second bid that Raine have not fully assessed on the table. This is from Jim Ratcliffe who might also have made his pitch directly to the owner who he already knows. And that is it.}

Thank you for your quick response Ed, not sure Ratcliffe should even be mentioned in conjuction with the sale as he could not be bothered going through the bidding process in the first place.
What message does that send out about the fairness of the bidding process.

I see where you're coming from, Bill, but in the end, would it not be most fair for the fans if the ideal owner is chosen? The way Roman has led the club, I trust no one more than him to make that decision.
Sure, it may be unfair for the other bidders, but if you're not the best candidate in life, for whatever it may be, you can never be too dissatisfied about not being chosen.
I am not one to judge who is the best bidder, but Ed02 sure is a better judge than me, and with all due respect, I also believe that he's a better judge than you! :)

I would also prefer Ratcliffe and don’t care about fairness to other bidders, if his bid is in the best interests of Chelsea’s long term future .
