I'm watching women never a pen the defender hasn't even made a move she even asked for VAR the people that run want stringing the whole VAR thing has been a joke from the start it's a total joke doesn't solve anything has been proven it not bullet proof so why not get rid of its like the Chelsea back line unreliable slow and inconsistent but most of all like anything else people should be Punished just like the players when they do something wrong let's see who's making the wrong decisions let's get them in front of the to to say sorry but they won't because the whole lot are cowards and have not balls to come out and so protected why do we go through life protecting the weak.

Isak is so clinical, Jackson makes the runs he does just doesn't have the technique or instinct to shoot like isak,

Anyone read the poch interview, seems to be pointing at the sporting directors, few subtle digs about the
" managers responsibilities but the club is planning and structuring a plan that needs to prove it works, because of the results you can say it's just the manager, but I don't have the keys to the club, I don't make all the decisions here "

When asked who needs to prove themselves to be here next season " it seems only to be me but it's the whole organisation, I think it's important "

Also he admitted he hasn't spoke to the owners in a over two months,

I'd say the writing is well and truly on the wall,

Problem we have is, poch is PART of the problem, but the problems are bigger and higher up than him and he is spot on with what he is saying, majority of issues will land in the next managers lap, if the next manager isn't as tactile and arm around player approach, we really need a manager coming out hanging players out to dry, players on long contracts and only young? What if next guy in doesn't think palmer offers enough off the ball so goes with another player, what if he keeps oublicslly talking about inexperience after the owners tell him not to?

I was thinking about the mudryk has performed for us. Is he really that much of a headless chicken? He seems brilliant through the middle as he has plenty of space to move into. On the wing he runs out of space so quickly. Also his pressing on other players he seems to just walk and never attempt to close down. If he used his pace other teams would feel pressured and lose the possession more often. Is it management or is it mudryk.

Total respect to Enzo, playing through pain month after month. Hopefully he will be back to the form he showed at the World Cup and early on his Chelsea career after surgery. Always nice to hear the full story behind player performances. šŸ˜.

Fair play to Enzo but was it wise to play him for so long with this injury?

Agree0 0Disagree

Yeah not entirely sure Jimbo. If heā€™d had it done straight away heā€™d have been back healed &fit a month or two ago.

Everyone in there jobs work through injuries, are we seriously celebrating this to excuse why he's been underwhelming at chelsea from his first game? He has ability but he has to improve. Fair enough he's playing through it but when his performances are as dire as they were against arsenal, it's better to not play.

27 Apr 2024 12:28:50
Standard, you will be returning to a country that has millions of people not working because of sickness and there will also be a percentage of those ā€œsickā€ people who are bogus!

To say ā€œeveryoneā€ in the jobs work through injuries is just wrong. There will be a percentage of people in this country who have to work to pay the bill and they have to work through there suffering but that does not apply to ā€œeveryone. ā€

I have no idea if the Enzo injury that he has carried for several months, probably to help the club through its injury issues, has affected his playing performance. My guess is neither have you.

I hope to see a pain free Enzo next season strutting his stuff. I will leave my judgement until after then.

I do think Enzo is a top player and I believe that Caicedo well be also be a proper midfielder in a better Chelsea team. I would prefer CG to stay and link with Palmer as I think Chelsea would have a very good 6,8,10 that would challenge for top 4 PL. It is the amount of dead ends and ball loss that has contributed to the general mediocrity of the team. None more so than the goal kick 6 yard box shenanigans to beat the press. Disasi, Badashielle are the worst, slightly better is Cucurella but even he is unpredictable, Gusto and Chilwell can do it, but when they do get out, the next step down the flank or up the middle is another minefield, Sterling receives is smothered and then simply loses the ball, Murdyke looks clueless as if he has never worked on it in training, generally he loses it by simply giving it away, or in an attempt to retrieve a wretched pass fouls the opponent so frustrating. and Jackson is so unpredictable that midfielders are reluctant to commit and go by him, as it is 50:50 as to whether heā€™ll get it to a Chelsea shirt, go on a run himself or simply have the ball removed from him and he falls over.

Barnet, why has it ā€œgot to beā€ the training methods of Poch?

Agree1 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 23:47:58
Newcastle have had a similar amount of injuries guess it must be Howeā€™s training methods then? What about Utd and Liverpool? Both have had a fairly high amount of injuries this season, guess thatā€™s also down to Klopp and Ten Hagā€™s training methods too no?

None of us know whether our injuries have been impact or muscular injuries etc, so not sure how the blame is laid at Pochā€™s training methods. Itā€™s the medical department which says when players are allowed to return to training and what level of training they should be doing. They also advise if players workloads are too high etc. Unless Poch is ignoring their advice and having crocked players run 10km/ day before theyā€™re fully healed Iā€™m not sure how itā€™s down to him.

Players these days are just extremely brittle, didnā€™t see this with John Terry as skipper. You notice how Gallagher and players like Alfie Gilchrist will rarely get an injury, made of sterner stuff.

27 Apr 2024 08:44:22
Fuser

The players workloads will be high due to the fact they are carrying half the squad who are on the sick list every game this season.

There is something badly wrong at our club at the moment.

27 Apr 2024 09:13:03
Poch is well known for doing the gacon test. Itā€™s an awful lot of running and the youngsters of today arenā€™t like the old. I read somewhere they didnā€™t like his training methods at psg.

Bill, you could be correct that a lack of availability and there player rotation could have had an effect on some players but the problem is itā€™s been a lot of the same players from the start of the season. So itā€™s hard to imagine itā€™s to many games.

Barnet, I have a theory that itā€™s a lack of fitness in the sense that Jose and other would have daily full on games that were reportedly harder than actual games. This is only my theory because Iā€™m not a football trainer or medical person.

Agree0 0Disagree

27 Apr 2024 16:53:18
I agree Bill, my point was that itā€™s not down to Poch. I doubt heā€™d going against the medical departments advice.

G8

The whole medical situation is a complete and utter shambles.

So fed up before each match day hearing that we have 10 to 12 players injured.

Other teams have injuries but most no where the extent we have had this season.

I believe we changed people in our medical department this season but quite honestly the change has failed miserably.

It's a total disgrace for a top premiership club.

The rumours are itā€™s poch heavily reliant on running and running and running and his methods are apparently ā€œ outdated ā€œ

They said he felt something and wanted to check, hopefully weā€™re being cautious but I really really wanted to see him start few games, my guess, mudryk will play left, palmer central Madueke right,

ED025 must be well pleased after that result last night. I certainly didn't see that coming. Just shows what a difficult and competitive league this is and sometimes that is lost on people! 7th is needed for a European place and with Newcastle also losing that is still a possibility and might just be a good competition for our young squad? Or are we best off missing Thursday night football?

{Ed025's Note - i want to know what happened when we visited the Bridge G8, you whacked us mate yet we went out last night and deservedly beat Liverpool who i see as a better side than Chelsea, yes no game is easy but like you we seem to go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a very small time frame, you have to ask yourselves are our players taking the piss or what?..

25 Apr 2024 13:14:16
I think it just shows what a top class brilliant team Everton are. The manager is also ahead of the game tactically?

But, can we play you every week.

Hope things improve for you next season Ed.

{Ed025's Note - cheers Tom, we are far from a good team mate and Dyche is a dinosaur imo, but i might just take him over Poch, not many teams give us a good hiding though like you did but you are so inconsistent that you never know which Chelsea will turn up..

Ed025, I applaud your response on the Liverpool site to someone who suggested the players were physically done. That excuse by players, coaches and some fans makes me angry. My late father worked on building sites six days a week into his seventies: no sick pay etc. He never complained about being tired at home only my long hair and music. Tired: what a load of tosh.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely Jimbo, i done 50 years in all kinds of weather mate and extra work of a weekend and nobody called for me to have a rest, me and your dad were probably two peas in a pod and these pampered prima-donna footballers want a rest for playing 1 game a week on average!, and i suspect they were on a bit more than us wages wise as well...but you do need a haircut.. :)

Horans, I havenā€™t got a clue why you would respond in the way you have to G8 but surely the reverse of your comment must also be true?

Who cares who is positive or negative about the club, owners, manager or any player. We all just give our opinions and if we are honest most of our opinions are in some way biased.

By the way, I generally enjoy your posts.

Horans, i have been criticised, often quite correctly for a significant percentage of my posts. Iā€™ve been a racist, a cult supporter (whatever that is), condescending, having a superior attitude, old fashioned, rubbish, a vegetable and biased (I am) .

None of the comments stop me wittering on and generally posting crap. Although I do try and subdue my cantankerous instincts.

I find venting my feelings helps me cope in lots of different ways. So, I just assume itā€™s probably the same for some other posters and just tolerate themā€¦ā€¦hahaha.

I agree, very good fans and they always seemed very different from Liverpool fans. I suppose, thinking about it thatā€™s no different to other same city supporters.

Anyway, the best fans at the bridge for the last few seasons in my opinion have been the Forest fans. So I hope they stay up.

I think we just started so weā€™ll v you guys, also if Beto puts that chance away it changes the game, I think itā€™s a simple as you guys were Uk for a fight and they thought theyā€™d brush you aside, see how many Everton players were throwing themselves in front of the ball and getting blocks in DCL lead line brilliantly.
